The Future of Remote Work: Our Office Accessories Report 2026

For the fourth consecutive year, we surveyed 5,000 remote and hybrid workers across 12 countries to understand how their home office setups evolve and what investments have the greatest impact on their work and wellbeing.

The headline finding of this year's report is the growing importance of ergonomics. 73% of respondents reported experiencing some form of physical discomfort related to their home office setup — up from 61% in 2024. However, those who had invested in ergonomic equipment (sit-stand desks, monitor arms, ergonomic chairs) reported 45% lower incidence of discomfort.

Audio quality emerged as the second most critical factor for remote workers, driven by the continued prevalence of video conferencing. 68% of respondents said audio quality — both their own microphone and the speakers or headphones they use — significantly impacts their ability to participate effectively in meetings.

Lighting was the most underestimated factor. Only 23% of respondents had invested in dedicated lighting for their workspace, yet those who had reported substantially higher confidence and comfort during video calls.
